Welcome to my science website. I hope this will be a way for students and parents to be able to see what is going on in Life Science (8th Grade) Ecology (6-8 Grade) and the Green Team Club activities.
I will try to post a weeks worth of lesson plans on the site and any assignments that will be due that week. The calendar of events will have deadlines and upcoming events that students will need to be ready for.
I want all parents to understand how I do my grading. I use a scale of 1-4 for all concepts learned in class.
1 = Student has no understanding of the concept (equal to a letter grade of a F)
2 = Student has some understanding of the concept (equal to a letter grade of a D)
3 = Student understands most of the concept (equal to a letter grade of a C)
3.5 = Student understands concept completely (equal to a letter grade of a B)
4 = Student understands concept completely and shows knowledge beyond what has been expected in class.
